How to raise money to study abroad in Japan?
I'm a high school junior at the moment. next year I'm planning to spend my first semester studying abroad in Japan. I'm hopping to attend OGSHS (Osaka Girl's Senior High School) in Osaka Japan. I need help finding ways to raise money for the tuition and expenses for while I'm there (plane tickets, travel cost while there, food, health insurance, visa/passport. you get the point) Please, if anyone has and helpful information I would very much need it.

JETRO http://www.jetro.go.jp/ have some scholarship programs. OR try to contact Japanese Embassy or Osaka Prefectual or city office or any of US Japan related NPOs and such.. Hope you find something... Also try to fine any other school in Japan that offers scholarship or something,,, bet there are some in Tokyo as well. Hope you broaden your search in finding scholarship and school and come up some way to spend some semester in Japan...even in a college.

Any Gap Year programs in Japan for a soon-to-be high school grad
Any Gap Year programs in Japan for a soon-to-be high school grad?
Does anyone know of any gap year program in Japan for a Japanese HIGH SCHOOL? I would like to go for a 13th year of high school, and I've found a few programs, but I just want to make sure that I haven't missed any. Thanks!

When I looked into exchange in Japan 7 years ago, I heard that few if any programs will accept you once you have graduated from high school (it may be a visa issue). It may be wiser to try to go in your junior year (if you are not doing it already). I did a summer abroad through AFS. Check their D.O.B. cut-off dates to see if you can do any of these programs after high school graduation. My 18th birthday was late August, so I made the cut-off by 20 days or so.

How about this university? http://www.geidai.ac.jp/english/film/animation.html The university is one of the most famous Japanese universities of art. Maybe you can look for more opportunities, as other universities/colleges may offer similar studies. I don't know what classes you have at school, but I would recommend you learn various types of subjects, not limiting to art or something, because I assume creating anime and manga will require a wide range of knowledge, which will help in taking a larger view. And if you come to Japan, learning Japanese language will also be important, as there are not so many English speakers there. I hope you will come here to Japan someday and your goal will be accomplished!

It's not as specific as that. Take a general English related degree anywhere to keep your options open. Take a TEFL Certificate to learn how to teach English. And then go to Japan. There is no one kind of degree specifically for teaching in Japan.
