What are public high schools like in Japan


What are public high schools like in Japan?
I will start saving so that in two years I will go to Japan for high school.. So I was wondering, what is high school like? What is the people like, also?

Well my friend lives in Japan and she just moved back there. She described highschool as very strict there, you have to be really smart and hard working. My friend was very smart here and she didn't make the top in her class because that's how smart they are. You have to really concentrate. Their uniforms are very strict too, nice but strict. They have P.E. mostly every day. You should wear inside slippers and school isn't so long each day. Well im sorry if this really isn't helpful enough, but I hoped I did in some way. Good luck!

High schools in Japan, both public and private, are classified according to academic levels of its pupils. We have a "ranking" of high schools so that parents and kids choose a high school to go. All classes are in Japanese so you cannot follow them without certain level of Japanese skill. They wear uniform. I think 90% of high schools in Japan has a uniform.

depends my friend went to very strict school had uniform even socks and shoes, she had to tie her hair and cant dye, no pierced earring, no part time job... etc etc etc had loooots of homework and pop quiz... im sure she doesnt want to go back... lol there are lots of high schools dont study much, easy, have no uniform. you need to check your high school is strict or not
